Environmental Performance report
Hisdesat is committed to the environment and has implemented an environmental management system that aligns with the ISO 14001 standard. With the aim of protecting the environment and preventing pollution, the environmental management system is periodically reviewed and assessed to identify actions that can be taken to minimize the negative impact of our business activity on our surroundings.
Indicators
Based on the environmental aspects defined by Hisdesat, a series of indicators have been established which have behaved as expected.

Below, we will provide a summary of Hisdesat’s environmental performance in 2025 based on the annual monitoring of each of the indicators, as well as a comparison with previous years.
Below, monthly electricity consumption since 2022 is compared. While seasonal behavior is similar in all periods, the data confirm a continuous improvement in efficiency: each year consumption per m² is reduced compared to the previous year. As can be seen in the graph, 2025 has consolidated with the lowest figures to date.

As can be seen in the graph, the energy efficiency trend consolidated in 2025, with said year having recorded the lowest levels of electricity consumption in the entire historical series analyzed and systematically falling below the figures for 2022, 2023, and 2024.
As regards the consumable materials analyzed, paper and toner consumption have seen a decrease over the last year, reversing the trend of previous years. It is also worth noting that a new environmental indicator has been added for this period: plastic bottle consumption (bottled water per employee). The company already has comparative records between 2024 and 2025 for this indicator, allowing for more detailed monitoring of the single-use plastic footprint in the office.

All of this data is shown below in graph form so as to display the evolution of each item in a more visual way:

As indicators, the company also analyzes the amount of waste generated and sent to an authorized entity for recycling. The types of waste that are sent for recycling, as well as the amounts generated since 2022, are presented in the following table:

As can be seen, the generation of waste during 2025 shows a behavior shaped by the circumstances surrounding our change of location. While recurring waste (like toner and batteries) maintains stable levels, intense figures were recorded in the paper and electronic waste categories. This one-off increase is not due to an increase in daily consumption, but rather to the cleaning and reverse logistics actions associated with the transfer of the entire operational part of the company to the new Control Center in Hoyo de Manzanares.
Below, we graphically show the volumes of recycled waste in comparison with previous years:

2026 GOALS
For 2026, our main environmental goal is to solidify our commitment to sustainability by officially recording our carbon footprint. To achieve this goal, we will implement a rigorous measurement system across all our operations, thus ensuring the collection of accurate and necessary data to formalize this record.
